Default replace rear axel shaft seal help

Good day guy,

Looking to see if anyone has any suggestions on how to replace the rear diff axel shaft seal?

I've seen people post the repair manual instructions but there isn't any post about someone successfully doing this without the fancy LR tools. Someone must have completed this repair in their driveway by now?

I am good up until the point when it comes to pulling the axel shaft out of the diff. Will it simply release and slide out or am I missing something? Can I simply then hammer in a seal?

I use a metal pipe to tap the axle out, be careful not to hit metal dust shield when doing so.

use seal Driver kit from harbor freight to hammer seal in.

note that the seal leaking can be a symptom of bearing play in the diff.

Thanks will be attempting this repair as soon as I have some time, been checking fluid level regularly in the meantime.
