You could always go a little more conservative and run what amounts to a 32" tire and 2" lifted springs. Disco's in the local LR club have lots of that or very similar. There's a lot of options, and remember all you have is 3.54s to throw at whatever height tire you end up running. You're also dealing with sub-200 HP, though torque is (IMO) good in these V8s. Upgrading to 4.11s is doable and there are sources out there for other ratios. Looking around the internet, I've found some take-off tires (W/T upgrade most likely) in this size range priced really nicely so it pays to shop around.

Center Diff Lock IMO is a must. I don't have it - but this is the first 4x4 of any kind that I've driven without it so... Good news is you don't have to take your transfer case apart. Too, this is a pretty stout t'case as they go. There are several ways to do this - most of which involve some pretty serious digging into your center console area. Check other posts for details - it's too much to put here.

Don't ignore the front drive shaft. If you DIY (and since you bought a $600 rig I bet you do) this is very doable - read up on it and ask away. Good idea to have a shop balance after the fact though.

I love Mobile 1's products and use them in my new cars (I'm on car #30 atm..). I don't use it on my LR for 2 reasons. 1. I have a general thing against full synth in older / higher mileage vehicles where I don't know the service history *I must stress this is only my personal preference not a guide*. 2. The advice of others here is... hard won ($!) in many cases and hasn't given me a bum steer yet.

Never ever overheat the engine.
And, you'll be fine.

BTW 3" lift and 35s in a newer SUV type body?

I'm pretty sure there's a short list where that'll work out. JK would be one.
