Default Pull A Part find

In case it helps anyone, here is a D2 find for those nearby. Looks in good shape.

Edit: Type Land Rover in search bar.

I get deals all the time at my nearest LKQ’s. It depends on the part & the woman behind the window. Also I don’t fall for the 40% sale days. They get people in with the sale, but jack up the prices so it basically evens out to pre-sale prices... I prefer to go when it’s slow with hardly anyone in the yard = I get deals.

Friend bought 2 front fenders & 2 complete D2 doors (complete with glass, interior panel, speakers, locks, window motor/regulator) for 200.00. I tried to buy an 04 CDL linkage at the same time (no shifter ****, or base plate) and she tried to charge me 20.00 per cable, and another 20.00 for the metal linkage, then 15.00 for the electronic solenoid.... I tossed that sucker into a Ford next to the D2, came back the next day and got a different person and walked out for 18.00 total!

But I can’t bad talk LKQ because an 800.00 pair of RTE Rocker guards cost me 36.95 for the pair!!!

I think next time I’ll find a complete door, remove the interior panel, toss some switches into it, 04 SLABS, IAC, purge valves, and whatever else I find then re-install the door panel & walk out for 65.00 haha!!

Yeah my friend was expecting that, and they told him to remove the door panel so they could mark every single part for a warranty. My friend said I don't need a warranty, and they said fine sign your receipt and have a nice day lol. I turn down the warranty 99% of the time because the stuff I'm grabbing = they won't have another one or I won't be back before the warranty expires.

I miss frequenting the Pull-A-Part centers in Georgia.
The junk yard/breakers here in England look up the truck part on eBay and then give you their price. ugh...

Agreed. All depends on the lady behind the counter. If you really really need a Land Rover part, you really don’t have any options. This is the first D2 in 6 months. Haven’t seen a D1 since Feb 2018. These trucks are ghost now a days.
