I have some pics of it in progress. Here is one without the top or drawer fronts so you can see you it was constructed. Pretty simple box and two drawers.
And another with the top showing the opening to the long storage space near the seat. If I were to do it over again I wouldn't have this space, I would instead make the drawers the full depth of the box.
I like the small compartment up by the seat. Looks like a good out of site place for storing a collapsible stock varmint rifle and accessories....and it wouldn't get beat up by your tools and spare parts in the drawers.

Of course, the seats can be removed and storage bins replaced. This will take time and materials. I think you know how to remove the seats in your car. yes teh 40% is a normal seat width, note though put the bolts back in after removing the seat they go all the way through the floor. My 60% has been out for a couple years now.
