Im looking to purchase my first Discovery. Ive been doing a lot of research on them and figuring out what I want to use the vehicle for and such. I am a mechanic by trade and am not to worried about the small problems, more so the D1's im looking at all have higher mileage like 160k plus. Are these engines known for lasting, and are rebuilds relatively easy? I ask because im looking at one with 215,000 highway miles that has never been taken off road. The asking price is $1,500 which is around what im looking to spend for what I plan on using it for. Ive read the Common Problems etc. im just seeking advice from first hand experience. Thanks
