Purchased 2001 Disco... New problems..
The car I traded in was a 1998 ford expedition with the 5.4 triton V8 and I was getting 10-12 mpg on a 29 gallon tank..... and now my disco isn't getting anywhere near 10 mpg and I barely get MAYBE 200 miles out of a tank. I got a call from my dealer saying the parts ETA is this week so I'll be taking a trip to my local LR dealer and let them see what's up.
Milage might just be the normal shock of driving a Disco 2. It's the fuel equivalent of driving a pallet of bricks around. Okay on the highway, but if you're in town, drive gently but still prepare to spend a lot of time at the pumps. And if you enjoy jumping hard off the lights, better get an extra part time job.
