Default Push rod orientation

In the middle of doing Head gaskets, and while cleaning up parts, I think I have some of the push rods upside down from how they were taken out. I know I still have them all in order how they came out, but didn't know if it will matter which way they go back in as far as being upside-down.
Thanks

Look at the wear patterns and match them.
The rocker arms will have a different contact pattern than the lifters do.

One end of the push rod will have worn differently then the other and that's how you tell.

Look at the ones which you know are correct and divine the pattern on the push rods you are suspect of.

They are all pretty close so it's going to be hard to distinguish. Anything to worry about other than a little bit of noise if they go in wrong?
