Default question about the d2 4wd

quick question here .. probably a dumb one ..

I have a 03 hse disco ...

I noticed yesterday that the 4wd was in the HIGH position .. should I be driving it like that ??

there is LOW, NEUTRAL and HIGH correct ? should it be in neutral while driving ???

also, when i turn my ac/heater on high ... the fan makes a super annoying noise ... anyone encounter that ?

Hello stranger.

Yes your 03 should always be in the High position. every month or so engage in low just to get the shifter moving for when you do use it.

Your rig is always in "4wd mode" you can't change that. All YOU can do is engage the transfer case into low range for certain off roading situations.

Definitely put it in low. Once a month. This is one situation where "if you don't use it, you lose it" applies. Believe me, you don't want to have to buy a new trans case.

Do you have an owners manual, if not buy one a read it cover to cover.
Have you rebuilt your front drive shaft yet?
What have you checked so far as the fan noise?
How many miles on your truck?
Have you checked with Rover yet to see if your vin is on their hit list for a possible oil pump/engine failure?
