Default Question about installing a CDL into an 03

Hey all, first time posting after finding this wonderful place!

I recently inherited an 03 with 133k to it. I was told the engine blew up and was rebuilt/replaced 50k miles ago(haven't seen the paperwork proving that, however). It Just had the radiator replaced, new belts and hoses, new ball joints, new Alternator, replaced leaky valve covers, new throttle body, plus an induction service a few thousand miles ago, no rust, frame is straight -- so I think I'm in for a good truck. I gave it an oil change, greased the driveshafts(the front one was fully serviceable luckily), and checked the transmission fluid.

I just put on a winch bumper and I also have the 2" terrafirma lift on the way. Only bummer is I don't have the CDL nipple on my Tcase.

I want to get that CDL operational. What sort of job am I actually in for? I have heard that I need to swap out the entire tcase, I have also read elsewhere that I can buy just a front nose assembly that has the nipple.

It sounds theoretically cheaper/easier to just swap the front nose but not sure... Are there any guides or kits for this type of thing? I have found used tcases with the nipple on ebay for around 200 but would like to keep it as simple and easy as possible. How would I go about swapping the front nose assembly?

I am by no means an expert mechanic but enjoy wrenching on my truck and learning as I go. My disco has taught me so much

I know this is likely stickied somewhere but I couldn't find anything definitive so sorry if this gets asked a million times!

cheers, yall!

I used this set of instructions a few years ago:
