Default Question about small coolant line from radiator

Just curious if that small skinny hard hose going from the drivers side radiator to the coolant reservoir was needed?

Yes, needed. If replacing, use copper tubing and bent your own. Do not use rubber hose, unless routing it another way, since the top radiator shroud will collapse the rubber hose (when routed through original location, two grooves in radiator shroud) and not allow proper flow.

Ok, just curious, trying to burp the coolant system still, but I guess it’s not really In the way. Thanks

I usually replaced with ATF cooler hose, run in front of the radiator instead of over the top. Copper line is a good idea though.
