Default What is the proper way of refilling the radiator after flushing it out?

I removed all the coolant in my radiator by removing the bottom hose. I added coolant to the plastic nut located on the left side of the radiator. I also added coolant to my coolant reservior tank. The problem is that it is leaking out of the reservior tank and the temp is raising after driving it for 25-30 minutes. It doesn't go into the red but it gets close. What did I do wrong? Is there a certain procedure I was suppose to do when one removes all the coolant by flushing it out? What is that metal hose with a similar plastic nut for? How do I insure not leaving air in the system? I own a 1992 Range Rover. Thanks and keep Roving!

fill up your radiator and keep your overflow cap OFF, run the car and add coolant to your overflow do this for a while and the air will burp itself out.. that is your problem
