Default Question about tail lights...

Two questions:

First, one of my tail lights is "dimmer" than the other. Is this just a sign that the bulb is going bad?

Second: Are the red lights on the bumper lights or reflectors (I know I could look pretty easy but im at the computer now not outside

You always replace bubs in set or one always looks dimmer.
The bumper lights are in fact lights, not reflectors.

Thanks Mike, I do always replace in pairs but have not had to since purchasing the rover. Are the bumper lights brake lights or driving lights and if both are not working is there anything other than bulbs to consider? Are they running from a different fuse?

There should be a switch on the binnacle around the steering wheel with a rear fog light picture. That will turn on the red lights on the rear bumper. I've only used them once to see what they did. If your brake lights stop working you can manually turn on/off the rear fogs as a temporary stop light.

I've tried that but thought only the yellow ones lit up... Of course its kinda hard to check having to be in drive and all. Thanks and I will try that and ifit doesn't work then I will get new bulbs!

You dont need to be in drive to make the rear fogs work, just the key in the "II" position and your headlights on.
Do you have your owners manual? If so read it, it actually has good information in it.
