Question if this is a good deal.
That's $500 less than I paid for my SE7 03 in early 07 with less than 70K and in perfect condition with a 2 year extended warranty which I never used. When I went to look at it they wanted $17K and I offered 10K firm with a 2 year extended warranty and they said no and I said ok and then they called me a few days later and said $13K and I said no and a few days after that they called and said yes on the 10K and then when I went to pay and pick it up they tried to back track on the extended warranty I said forget it and they caved on that too. Even at that price I was still on the fence but bit the bullet. I guess i got a good deal looking back on it, but at the time I didn't know it. I read so much negative about 03 that I almost got cold feet. Glad I didn't now since I have really enjoyed it. but it could have easily went the other way and I could have got a lemon.
I have put close to 10K a year on it for the last 7 years and it is cosmetically far from perfect now. I've used it as a work truck. I figure it is worth probably 2K tops now on a good day. But I did get 7 trouble free years out of it before this year and I had to do head gaskets, oil pump and timing set. It is an 03 though now in rough cosmetic condition with 150K and that is an 04 in nice condition so I guess that makes alot of difference but, $7,500 difference? In my opinion $9,500 is not even near the ballpark for an 04 with over 100k in 2014. If it's perfect and you can't live without it and he has receipts and service history for everything try $5K or $5.5K or shop around. And test drive it for several hours not just around the block. take code reader with you also, preferably one that reads hours miles since codes were last cleared. If the codes were just cleared then you will know more about the person you are dealing with. JMO

There is a beautiful 04 for sale locally here in Buffalo. 206k miles, asking $4k. Id buy the 206k truck before a lower mileage. At least you know its been serviced, and when it needs it again, you have the extra $5k to do it
