Default Question for those that have pulled there motor out

Im pulling mine out this weekend and wondered if it would be easier to pull the motor out with the tranny attached or without? Thanks for any help.

Just curious, what is wrong with your engine.
I would remove the tranny first.

just unbolt the motor, otherwise your talking about the tranny and transfer case, dropping the cross member and drive shafts its a lot of extra work if you dont have to.
remove the motor mounts and lower the motor on a floorjack and you can reach the top bellhousing bolts easily.

Thanx guys, hey Mike, found that the coolant was getting into cyl 6. Cracked block or sleeve issue.

Gotta pull just the engine. Don't think you would even have the room to remove them attached together. Pull the engine mounts, lower the engine down and then remove the upper trans to engine bolts.
