Question on ToddCo pricing for front driveshaft
#21
Het Tom just curious why you say not to go to advance to get the bearings?Btw the advance auto Neapco bearing number number is 1-0005 and the napa center ball kit is a precisoion 617 replacement ball kit.If your at all mechanically inclined you can diy for around $80 bucks but if not Todd is the way to go.
a) I know how much PITA this type of job is (or can become)
my time and tranquility is worth more than the $100 with ToddCo
b) I am hoping ToddCo also checks the balance after the re-built, which I could not do myself

yeah, but I am planning only on "mild" off roading, so there's no added value to get the "beefier" Tom Woods for me
as you say, $278 for a reman is not worht it either... so it's either get it rebuilt at ToddCo (I'm kinda surprised they don't read on this forum), go to a local shop, or the $310 ebay option...

You want to know where your replacement shaft was built and was it with U.S. made parts.
