Default Questions on air bag light and abs system

about a month ago i hit a big puddle of water and my airbag light came on and wouldn't go away so yesterday i took it to a local garage and had them scan it. It came back as both front seat belt tensioners, they reset them and the passenger side one came right back and kicked the airbag light back on. Any ideas? also i was trying to figure out why my battery drains after prolonged sitting a couple weeks ago and as i was under the hood and at the fusebox i heard a faint clicking sound. I started pulling fuses and it turned out if i pull the abs fuse the sound goes away and my battery doesn't drain while sitting for long periods of time. Any advice would be appreciated

Since the SRS ecu and everything related are inside the cabin I doubt anything there is directly related to the water. Perhaps time to start checking grounds and try swapping the ABS relay to eliminate or confirm that as the issue there but it could also be ground related.

the abs thing is minor really, but the seat belt tensioner setting off the airbag light has me stumped a little.

There's always the obvious - check the connector, SRS grounds and wiring for any shorts / frayed insulation. Also pull and check all your fuses, I mean every one. Systems that, on Land Rover paper, are in no way related to the same circuit can be. For instance the water could have created a short in X circuit and blown the fuse. On paper that circuit is in no way related to the SRS system but in reality it's linked to the reference signal for the pre-tensioners. Blown fuse, no power, no reference signal so SRS thinks the tensioner's bad.

As for the ABS issue, are your 3 amigos on? If not possibly the ground wire repair may need to be done on the module.

actually the pretensioners can go off you just need to pull the connector off the seat frame and let it hang a bit. that will get the light to go off. you give it a bit of less tension. its the tension causing the code.

Just wanted to say thanks once again, the airbag light went out as soon as i looses up the wiring on the seat belt tensioners. I am looking into the abs ground thing this morning. the clicking noise has me a little stumped though

There is a TSB on the ABS modulator not shutting off after turning the engine off.
It is supposed to turn off after about 10 min, but if not it needs to be reprogrammed.
