Default Questions on testing the ABS option B

I ended up pulling the whole ABS MOD out and doing it that way. My question is: When I test with the switches out of MOD I see they work properly, 3.0 open, 2.0 one closed, 1.0 both closed. When I reinstall the switches into the MOD and tighten the three 4mm screws I retest and get 0.0, Is this normal? Or should I get some kind of reading?

I don't know exactly, I was just wondering why the circuit would read 3000ohms before being screwed in an 0 after being screwed in. Is there some sort of connection being made inside the abs mod that would cause this? Or am I shorting it out when I put it together?
