Default quick diesel conversion question

an R380 mates to a LT230 and and a 200/300tdi mates to an R380..so why has nobody used this combo in a DII? I'm sure theres a obvious reason why it will not work without lots of time/money but I can't think of it so somebody help me out!

Because it will never pass emissions and is illegal under federal law...

...don't get me wrong, I want one too, but the way to do this is to stick it in a pre-ODBII DI.

so everything will bolt together with no adapters? If emissions is the only problem call it a bio conversion and run on bio-diesel for the test.
