Im going to change my valve cover gaskets do i need to replace the intake manifold gasket or can i reuse it? Also is there anything i should do while i an in that area?

you can reuse the old one,
if you haven't replaced you wires this is the prefect time to throw on a set of Kingbornes.
I "personally" put a thin layer of black RTV on the new gaskets,
haven't had a leak or tighten them in going on two years.
