Radiant Barrier

Radiant Barrier
Started putting Reflectix radiant barrier in my 04 D2.
Going to do the entire interior, all the floor, firewall, all roof pillars, above headliner, and eventually inside the doors.
One 4'x10' roll did the back lower, up to the rear seats, and to the rear pillars.
My 04 D2 has been sitting 8 months now, while I fix 30-40 things. So I removed the rear carpet to access the fuel pump, and syphon out the old gas.
While it was apart, it was a good time to start insulating.
My D2's AC is excellent, but being black on black, you can still feel the summer heat, and the hot catalytic converters.
This will fix that.
I saw it posted here last year about putting Reflectix above the headliner. So I figured I'de do the whole truck.
I put Reflectix on my garage doors last winter, and a similiar radiant barrier in my attic.
I have been amazed at the insulating ability for heat, ac, and sound.
So here goes.
Pics coming.

No sir, no adhesive, just metal hvac tape.
Enough to hold it together and keep it in place.
The carpet, trim panels, and headliner will hold the rest of it.

It's more or less the same insulation I used above my headliner, you'll certainly feel the difference in the summer heat, it's great stuff but be careful not to cause any shorts or fires on the electrical connections.

PS: I paid less than half the current Brico Depot price for my insulation though, €3,30 M/2 I seem to recollect.
