Default Random Three Amigo's

My wife was driving the Disco the other day and and mentioned that the three amigo's flashed once. Just driving up the hill to our house normally... this had 76K ish on the rig, had it flash 2 years ago once, but never had an issue. Bled the brakes at 60K, I use the HDC a couple time a year just to keep it working properly, and changed the brakes and rotors at 70K (*and cleaned the speed sensors).

Anything to worry about here? Just keep an eye on it, or should is there something I should look at/address?

Do the 3 amigos come on only when there is a shuttle valve problem? My 3 amigos did that for a while. They would come on while driving and when I started the rover the next time the lights would be reset. Finally they came on and stayed on. I bought an ABS Amigo from RSW solutions and retrieved the codes. I have a 114 which is the shuttle valve electrical fault. I am going to do the fix from this link... http://www.landroverclubvi.com/abs-mod.html

I also have a sqeaky rear brake. It speaks when I reverse and in forward at low speeds. Can this cause a wheel speed sensor fault? I have on logged as a past fault for the left rear wheel.

04BlueDisco,

Many things can throw intermittent codes. As long as your lights are AMBER and not RED then I wouldn't worry about it. Your lights come on once in a blue moon so rest easy. If your lights start to appear more frequently, then get them read and let us know what they are.

Aaron115,

The 3 amigos come on ANY time the ABS ECU picks up a signal that there may be an issue in the brake system. In your case it was the 114 SVS code and the rear left wheel code. The SVS code is, as far as I experienced, intermittent only, and will reset its self every time. The rear left wheel code may have caused the "hard fault" keeping the lights on all the time.

Now ever since you cleared the codes and still have the 114, are the lights still on permanently? Copy the text file from your ABS amigo so I can read it.
