Couple of questions...

First, the lights go off when I turn the car on and off...for a little while atleast...but it seems like they are becoming more frequent.

Back in 07 the previous owner had this same problem and I have the paperwork from when he took her to the dealership, and they fixed the problem by replacing the front right wheel speed sensor.

How long can I drive on these lights without doing any more damage...and is it likely another wheel speed sensor?

Where should I start looking and what can I do? Thanks for the help.

Hello,

1. You need to get the codes read
2. You need to flush the brake fluid
3. If you get a "shuttle valve electrical failure" chances are YOU can fix it by doing this http://www.landroverclubvi.com/absmod.html

Thanks for the quick response...

Will the lights have to be on to get the codes read? Changing the brake fluid was next on my list, can this really be the cause of the problem? Lastly, I usually go to O'reillys and they lend me there scanner, will this one work for this?

The lights do not have to be on. The scanner will read anything current or stored in memory..

You need a special scanner that only dealers or independent shops have....

Or someone near you with this http://www.rswsolutions.com/index.ph...d=56&Itemid=55

A generic OBD II scanner wont read those codes.....

Before you go spend money to chase the codes, are your brake squeaking , do your brake pulsate thru the brake pedal when doing a panic stop on loose surface?

The brakes arent squeaking right now, I will have to take her out and see about the brake pedal...

The lights do come up randomly...once when I was backing out of the driveway...and two other times just when I was driving down the road, never over 45mph...
