about 25' with normal use.

50 in a open lot with no other cars around

I will have to try the chin trick, mine fob also seems to have a 6' distance.

My first thought when I saw the title of the thread was that the range of the key depended on the length of the users arm but then I realized it was meaning the remote fob.
