Rat Rod Disco

Rat Rod Disco
I have an 04 Disco with about 115K miles. It has a few hail dents on the roof but is in good shape otherwise. The prevoius owner painted it dark metalic purple for some reason. She had a minor front end collision so it has brand new bumpers/lights so that is good. This was being driven by a daughter but she decided to steal my white 02 and leave me with this.
I want to personalize this one with a camo paint job as shown by this guy:
I also want to put on aftermarket bumpers (some guy on here used Jeep bumpers and it looked good - $600 for front & back).
Anyway the point of my post is that somebody on here mentioned a mod where you remove those plastic rockers under the doors and trim the metal off to give a higher look. Has anybody here got experience doing that and maybe a picture of the finished look?

Zuke, my man. Not sure if I ever responded to your message. Sorry about that.
For the bits under the doors there are just plastic pop tabs. The kind you have to pull the center out then the whole deallio will come.
For the rear, I honestly don't remember. Might've been screws, but I also remember they were attached to the mud flaps. I ended up just cutting the mud flap off with a utility knife. Then I put masking tape on the body panel over the roll line and just zipped it off with an angle grinder. The tape is so it won't chip the paint. Then I squirted some paint on the bare aluminum from underneath, though not really necessary because aluminum won't corrode the same way rust does. It acts more as a protective layer like the bluing on a gun when aluminum corrodes, which it does super quickly. What I'm saying is it won't affect the paint or the body panel.
