Well these trucks have pesonality and you may have found yours.
One of the cool things about LR's is that no two are exactly alike, they look alike, but boy are they different.

Ya... I hear that. Perhaps that is why I got it, I am tired of all the chevys, dodges, and fords out there. Ya its got personality. Anyways... the new Rotoflex changed the vibration, I think Im going to try it in different positions and see if I can get it to go away totally. The tech installed it backwards so I redid it when I got home. I think Im going to start doing the work on it my self mostly. Also... how critical is the pilot rubber? He didnt do that either, the old one is rusted in place but it looks ok and isnt too loose........ Hrm... Might of just answered my own question........

The pilot rubber? Is that what the pilot uses when he is with a flight attendant?
Sorry but I have never heard of the pilot rubber. These trucks are much easier to keep around if you can do much of the work yourself.

ROFL.... Ya... I hear ya... If you look on the inside of your Driveshaft there is a space to put what looks like a pilot bushing and the Pinion yolk has a nub that slides into it. Anyways.... Got Vibration down to a minimum at around 70. I Have been rotating the rotoflex index and the driveshaft in relation to the pinion yolk to try to find where things give the least amount of vibration. Ive had to do this before about 20 years ago on a Jag. It's a pain but worth it in the long run. The rattle behind the engine has gotten better now too after I took a BFH to the Cats... not too much damage just enough to trap what was flooiing around. Ive got those stupid down stream O2 sensors so cleaning them out is out of the question. O Well... LOL... Finally a car with personality. The scarry part is that my wife wants one now.... Guess I has better get me a garage really soon..... Thanks guys again. [sm=smiley15.gif]
