Talking Rattle from under truck from Catalytic Converter attn: Campcobb

Have a rattle from underneath. Metallic sounding, coming from catalytic converter.
Got underneath and examined. It was the heat shield. The shield is welded both
from and back. The front welding gave way resulting in a rattle.

Quick fix was done by arc welding the shield back on to the exhaust pipe.
Was done in-situ and as a result could only spot weld the shield where it is
accessible and not welded the entire contact point of the shield.

If you look closely at the picture, there is also a fracture at the weld line between
pipe and the cat. Need to do that too.

Note: a little tricky arc welding since the heat shield is very light gauge compared to the pipe
causing burn-through the shield, hence the splatter.

Mine cracked a long time ago. I ignore the sound because I can't weld.
