RE: OBD is KIA
Well, the best laid plans of mice and men, often run awry... So, I got replacements, ECM/BCU combo from the Rover wrecker in SC on Friday afternoon... Read the R&R instructions in the RAVE, followed them, plus a suggestion from Savannah, ie: keep the hood alarm button depressed.
That was all easy enough...one snag, all the dash lights fired up, but the starter was MIA. So, re-installing the original ECM/BCU, and presto-painto, the rig is back to running as poorly as ever...but, at least it is running.
I didn't attempt to read any codes on the replacement ECM/BCU, figuring, I think, it takes about 20-30 minutes to develop any...
Any help here, would be really welcome!

Opps - forgot - if you had read codes or data from OBDII port when new ECU was installed, that might mean that rest of wiring harness and other modules are not part of the original problem.
oH, wELL...Swapped them out and tryed thte key trick...no such luck! The key didn't work...and the $@#%@#%^thing wouldn't start! The panel lit up like a christmas tree, but that's all it did...
I swaqpped them back and low & behold it did/does run better, not great, but better...
I'm tempted tp start switching/ mixing the pairs...Would that screw them up? I've tagged them all.
