I was quoted $900 to re-paint/spray the roof of my 1995 LR Diso.

This roof has major sun damage and I want it fixed.

I htink $900 is too expensive and I wish to do the job myself.

What instruments/tools do I need to do this job properly?

I do not see LR green anywhere on the 'colour match' option.

So, I guess this option is rueld out.

Just shop around, yes that quotes is a little high and you may want to try someone like Macco.

 

Take the $900 and buy a roof rack and forget about it.

 

You could always go with white for the safari look and it would reduce the likelyhood of more sundamage.

You could defiantly do it yourself. If you have a good air compressor you could buy a HVLP gun pretty cheap, just make sure your comp puts out the CFMs to handle it. If you have the patience for the initial and finish sanding you can do a top quality job. it just takes work and patience.
