(Re)Programming keys...
So, I'm looking to get myself a spare clicker key. I'm looking at this sequence of events....
Get a new fob body, with an old chip unit in it (Abran has one I know of) Not sure how easy that is to obtain usually.
Get the new fob body blade cut to match the ignition.
Get the chip programmed to match the electrical gubbins/ signal etc.
I will need it programming to match my car, so the car has to be next to a programming machine.
So, if my sequence of events is correct, does anyone have such a machine that can program key chips, in my area? Payment in beer or other contra-band style items always considered.
I'm north of New York City, by about an hour.
Thanks all.

I have a Nanocom and used this video for the instructions for re-programming an extra fob:
Nanocom Evolution Key (Plip) Program for a Discovery 2 - YouTube
Nanocom Evolution Key (Plip) Program for a Discovery 2 - YouTube
Did the fob program easily? Go right first time?

My family and I love Chilliwack. We had just moved from Portland, OR to Chilliwack last year for my work assignment. It is 100 km from Vancouver.
