Re-sleeve engine a safe approach??

LA sleeve.
You ship your bare engine they resleeve w/top hats hone to
std bore size send it back. Price I got was around 1500.00
If going this route i would want to use someone that does
this every day and does it right every time.
Just need to find a cheap freight line.
..and hope your rebuild doesn't cost more than a reman or new engine.

Have you have them do this resleeve?
Looking at the same situation. I've been talking to Dave over at LASLEEVE and he seems to think they have the solution.
My 03 knocks very badly had the LR specialist look at it a few months back and he said it's terminal. Did not say sleeves or give any other specifics.
I would really like to hear from someone who has had this done and say " that took care of that.
