How are the eBay replacements holding up?
I replaced my dome lights with some LED bulbs from Ebay. Shipped from China (of course), but they are really nice. They light up the truck very well.

I'm not sure how much headroom you have, but I was thinking you were going to build another shelf, using the indention for extra clearance to store things. Take the same concept of the shelf above the visor and apply it to the sunroof area.

I love 'em! Haven't had any issues with them at all. I'd recommend them. they light the interior up very well. I've had them in for probably 8 months or so, I'm guessing. I can't really remember when I put them in. May be closer to a year. I put them in both our D2's and they've held up very well.
