Default Rear Brake lights are out

1999 Land Rover Disco

My rear Brake lights and running lightsare out , having no problems with shifting though.
My front light bulb is out but works on high beem.

would the front light cause my problem with the rear brake lights being out?

I read in a previous posting that fuse #1 is the brake fuse but, seems fine i dont have a manual to determin those symbols on the fuse panel either.

Also my Air con fuse keeps blowing. This thing is on step away from driving off a cliff.

Please help!

So none of your lights work? Only your high beams? Do your dash lights work?

Lights that work:

Emergency
Blinkers
Front driver head light regular, high beam
Front passenger head light high beam only
backup light
rear blinkers

Lights that don't work

Rear Brakes
Dash, though the idicator lightswork
counsol P F R 1 2
AC dosn't kick up because fuse keeps blowing

Thanks

You have a short somewhere. That is why your A/C fuse keeps blowing and it if affecting everything else too.
Replace the A/C fuse but dont use the A/C and see if your lights work then.

ok Put in the new fuse to the ac and still no worky.

But i did notice that the brake light on the top of the roof is working. I puled the fuse from the ac and its not effecting the light. i just never noticed that that light actually works. so i guess i have some sort of brake light.
