Can anybody help with his latest problem with my Disco 2 2003. Out of the blue my rear door refuses to open and stays locked. The electrics appear to be ok as I can hear and see the indicator fob thing moves up and down on activating the key fob as with all the other doors but I can't open the door. I have even tried from the inside operating the release handle but it will not open. Rightly or wrongly I conclude it must be a linkage problem but I can't get to the inside of the door to get the panel off, any help gratefully received.

Pop the LR emblem out of the rear door handle cover and spray it down with WD40 while working it....sometimes it will stick.

 

It sounds like a bad actuator. If the interior handle doesn’t release it I don’t think the back handle will help. Hopefully I’m wrong as a new actuator is just under 200.00 I believe
