Default Rear door/Tailgate LOCK ISSUE

I am hoping someone has a solution...I replaced the rear door/tailgate lock actuator this afternoon...before i put it all back together I tested the new replacement part and it seemed to work fine...I had to run out and only replaced one of the 3 torx crews and shut the door---NOW I can't use either inside or outside latches to open the bloody thing!!! UGH! the interior door skin is still off and I can manipulate the lock and cables, but it still wont "engage" so to speak... Like I said, all mechanisms worked with the door open before I shut it....

Any Ideas would be gratefully appreciated!

one more thing--- I've searched the forums and have seen multiple solutions and the only one that seems to really work is --and i kid you not-- kicking the door from the inside while someone tries to open with the exterior latch and the sametime??? I will try to manipulate the lower arm and see what that does...GRRRRR!

check your cable is stretched out. maybe see if you can pull on he cable and see if it opens. since this is a new actuator I would look to see if everything is alighted properly and not loss. I didn't replace mine but after cleaning everything it worked better but still got stuck sometimes. the more I used it the better it got and now it has been working fine. I can't remember what its called but there is a alignment thing on the door and on the frame to help keep the door alighted. when you close the door they fit into each other. mine is missing and maybe that was part of the problem also.
