Suffered the same issue on my family move from North Carolina to Texas. About 2am we needed some stuff out of the D2 for our hotel stop in Georgia and couldn't get in. Wife pissed, kids tired, and me frustrated. So I pulled out all kinds of stuff through the passenger door so I could wedge myself back to the door release latch from the inside lol. D2 was on a Autotransport and being used as a cargo hold.
