Default Rear driving lights out

03 D2. If I turn on the lights the rear driving lights inside the red housings on the driver's side do not come on. Checked the bulbs by swapping to the other side and they are fine. Known good bulbs in either driver side light socket do not light up. Brake light works. Turn signal works. Just the two sockets in the upper red part of the housing. The larger bulb is the two-filament driving and brake light. The brake light is working, the driving light is not. I don't know if it makes a difference, but both bulbs went in the license plate light as well.

Anyone ever experience this?
