Rear hatch half door with removable window

I was lucky that the buttons I ordered were the exact same size as the screws that hold the quarter panels on, so I didn't have to add any holes to the sides. I also used some velcro straps I found on ebay so I could tie it up and then used roofing screws from WalMart around the top to hold the plastic in place.
Thanks, Dusty! It was surprisingly simple. Just screwed and buttoned up the sheet then went around the sides with a utility knife. I just had to be careful that the plastic didn't stretch as i cut the plastic so it didn't throw off my cuts.
Haha, I saw that as I was about to take the picture. Thought about changing angles, but thought "What the hell, might give someone a laugh."

Not sure if that's positive or negative, but I'll take it. Haha
Thanks drow!

"I considered that, but then I wasn't really sure how to comment the zipper to the body itself other than, possibly, double sided tape which I didn't like the thought of because I want to retain the ability to easily put the factory door back in the winter without having a mess to deal with.
I am going to try something along the sides to further prevent leaks such as the door jam foam you can get for house doors."
I believe what you'd need to do is get a piece of material and fit it to the existing snaps (with new snaps on the material) and then sew the zipper to that. of course you'd have to re-cut the clear plastic to accomodate for the material, then sew the other zipper part to that. prolly be pretty sturdy though. don't you just love when a 'little' project turns out to be so much more complex than you ever imagined?!

I literally cringe anytime someone says "this should be easy enough...", it's like a kiss of death or something!
