I am new to my Disco II. I have an odd one though. The rear brake lights, turning lights work fine. The top set of lights work but the lower set of lights and the license plate light do not work? Any ideas?

 

We need to know the year of vehicle, the lights are different on different years.

 

uh, bulbs good? brake switch? fuse?

 

Lower set is likely the reverse lights / rear fogs if you have an 00-02(?).

The red lenses on the bumper are rear fog lights which confuse a lot of people. There is a control to the left of the steering wheel that activates these. Don't use them in normal conditions as they will blind the driver behind you. Use them only in fog or poor visibility so that your vehicle is more visible to others behind you.

The white lenses are obviously the reverse light. You aren't clear as to whether or not these are working.

The license plate lights are likely burned out. One of mine is dead, but I just ordered new bulbs. Check the bulbs, or use an ohm volt meter to see if you have current going to the light contacts. These should be on with the parking lights / headlights.
