This project has been on the bench for too long. I've read all the threads from the past, and here's what I've got for a plan
Following primarily Dusty1's build (same as ZGPhoto's, but with the axle mount outside the spring perch)
Parts
Panhard Kit: https://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com...og/PANKIT.html
- Axle offset, Frame outside
The kit above seems to have changed a little bit from the photos Zach posted years ago.. they have 3 as opposed to 2 mounting holes now
Install:
Bar should be as long and horizontal as possible
Frame mount (passenger side)
plate frame, Rosette/plug weld bracket to frame & spring perch
Axle mount (driver side)
Outside spring perch, offset
Careful not to heat up axle too much (could ruin o-rings for the half shafts)
How to reinforce this bracket?
Tack mounts, center axle to frame (straps, jack stands), then measure/cut dom tube
Any other tips to mention to the welder? Like how to make sure the angle of the brackets are good, how to measure/cut the DOM tube to the right length? General procedure tips? My welder doesn't specialize in offroad fab, so I need to spell it out to him.
So long as you plate the frame, you'll be good to go with that plan. Definitely make sure the brackets are mounted correctly and the bar doesn't interfere with the axle.
My lift is around ~2.3" in the rear. Really struggling to maintain 3".. I need taller and heavier rated springs, but they don't exist
I have 2" extended brake lines, and abs lines. I might need 4" brake lines as they're looking a little tight... other than that, see any issues or room for improvement?
What does this help with? The radius arms will still bind and limit flex. I thought the Watts link was better provided you have room for it. Are you changing to a panhard rod just because it needs to be longer? Why not make the watts longer?

There's a lot of info out there on the virtues of the panhard over the watts. I don't want to deal with expensive watts bushings and the panhard will allow greater articulation, have 2 as opposed to 6 joints, and cheaper
Will the exhaust be a problem? Here's a bad pic. Sure seems like its directly in the way. No one has mentioned relocating the exhaust
