I have my tailgate interior panel off to replace the tailgate latch release / license plate light assembly,...after getting my interior panel off, and releasing the linkages, the lever arm that goes on the latch mechanism and the interior door lock button attaches to came off in my hand as I was trying to move the latch mechanism to gain access to the last fastening nut for the exterior release / license plate light assembly. I cant see the inside of the latch mechanism and am wondering if I have to now remove the latching mechanism completely or if I can reach into the door with the lever arm somehow and snap it back onto the latching mechanism...

I have attached some pics so you can see what I am talking about.

 

Maybe someone has a picture of the side I cant see with the lever arm attached??

 

The RAVE has some diagrams.....study those and you will probably find the answer. Look in the "doors" section.
