Default Rear Windows Inoperable

I have a '99 Disco Series I, and both rear windows quit working at the same time (fortunately they're stuck in the up position). Can't get them to move at all. Fuse (in the dash) is OK. Front windows work fine. Tore the console apart, but am not really sure what I'm even looking at, as I'll admit I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy in this forum! Any advice? Thanks a lot!

If it's not the window lock then switch a known good switch with a "bad" one and see what happens.
If it works then the switch is bad.

I tried turning the safety button on and off, and it made no difference. I also disconnected one of the connections behind a front window switch and hooked it up to a rear window switch. It still operated the front window (which worked fine). I hooked up one of the rear connections to a front window switch and nothing happened.

Do the switchs on the rear doors work? Or is it only the ones in the console?

No, the rear switches (in the backseat) do not work. Not sure if this is an important detail, but both of the rear windowsGRADUALLY became inoperable. For a while there, they would both work one day, not the next, type of thing. Then they both just quit working.

Yes that is valuable detail.
You need new window motors/regulators.

I just looked up window motors, and this says that the "left" motor controls the front AND rear left windows, and the "right" motor controls the front AND rear right motors....
