But then again, on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Land-...RCHQ3aUSQ3a101

Is this the part I need? Is it relatively easy to install?

I have no idea.
Talk to a glass shop and see how much they want to do the work if you buy the part.

I just looked up window motors, and this says that the "left" motor controls the front AND rear left windows, and the "right" motor controls the front AND rear right motors....

I think what they mean is that the same motor fits both front and rear doors. You have to have a seperate motor for each door.

I'm a little suspicious about it being the window motors, the more I think about it. I mean, what are the odds that they would BOTH go out at the EXACT same time?

You have a good point, it could be the window ECU.

Just read this post,
DO NOT ORDER NEW MOTORS!
Pull the window lift ECU and re-solder all of the connections.

http://www.discoweb.org/window/index.htm It was given to you earlier, and I would put $5 that this will fix it...

Thanks, ajz. I followed the link immediately. What nice photos - I plan on giving this a shot first thing tomorrow.

YES! I'll be damn3d, but taking the circuit board out and soldering it did the trick! Itlooked EXACTLY like the one on the http://www.discoweb.org/window/index.htmlink. I can't believe it. Took me about 4 hours (as I previously admitted, I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy these days), but it did the trick. Thanks a TON, guys - I really appreciate it.

OK, next question (unrelated to the rear windows issue)...why does my driver's side seat heater not work? ; )
