Friday the 13th. I should have known better than to drive the Disco. Went out to do my running around and my wife asks what the noise comming from under the truck might be. Short version - I rebuilt the front shaft today. I got lucky and got all the parts w/o ordering. What a PITA. 34 degrees and I am on my back under the truck. Rant is over. Just wanted to post to caution anyone about DIY rebuilding this component. I thought I had all the right tools and I still had to have some help from the guys at work.
