Forgive me, I know this is a Land Rover site and forum I am trying to rebuild a drive shaft on a 1998 Chrysler Town & Country LXi AWD. The drive shaft "rubber boots" have been torn and need replaced. I noticed on the German Land Rover site they were talking about replacing this same boot. According to the poster on the German site this boot is used on a drive shaft for the Freelander he is rebuilding. Here is the info stamped on my boot it matches the info of the German poster.

G162HV
144.210.0
GLAENZER
SPIECER
POISSI - FRANCE
BREVERETTE
S.G.D.G

Below is the info the German poster got from Glaenzer-Spicer for a replacement boot. He noted that they did not seem too interested in sending him this replacement boot.

GI62HV
144193I.J
INEP
129-4

00 ::::::

Does anyone have any information on these? To give you an idea of what I am dealing with Chrysler does not offer replacement boot kits. Their solution is to buy a new drive shaft fine and good but... the cost of the shaft is $1500. Nothing like getting shafted either.

Any assistance will be most welcome - Mike

Freelander 1 driveshaft gaiters can be seen here: Freelander 1997-2006 Driveshafts & Components at www.rimmerbros.co.uk

The one for the propshaft is here: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-TVB000090GAITER - and I guess that that is the part you need?
