I had mine rebuilt and it came in probably around $135 for parts and labor. For the hassle factor involved the Lucky 8 shaft is a deal. You could do it for less if you do it yourself but as was written above the centering ball is a PITA. Go for the Lucky 8 and don't look back. I would've done so if that deal were available a few years ago.

nice self help but i think your crazy to do this yourself ... hire a professional ... someone that does this all the time .. too risky for me ..
