You can also weld the sleeves instead of pinning them. IMO that's a more permanent solution if you know someone or if you personally know what you're doing.

My tick sounds just like yours...only it WAS a clogged rocker.

Update: I drove the truck to harbor freight this morning to get a new stethoscope. When I got back, the tick was completely gone. It was a little cooler out today, high 60s, but engine temps was the same. I poked all around the engine with the new stethoscope and I couldn't find anything. I'm at a loss, exhaust leak maybe?

Didn't know that. I don't think anyone around here is qualified. Still looking at pinning if the sound comes back.
look in the oil in your oil change closely. I bet you will find some solid that was blocking some oil flow...

I just did the first oil change. Looked clean. There were some black specks in the oil, but nothing major. Tick is still gone. Perhaps whatever the problem was got dislodged. Will update if the tick returns.
