Question removing windshield cowl

Has anyone removed the cowl for replacement of the wiper motor? I checked the Rave but didn't see anything about removing the cowl. I removed the center bolt and I read somewhere that there is a clip on each side. However, it still seems very firmly attached and don't want to break anything getting it off.

I'm 99% sure you have to remove the hood. No big deal make sure you mark where the bolt holes are on the hood. (circle around the bolts) I know on a DI you have to!
There is 3 clips on the DI. A) Drivers side B ) Center bolt C ) Passenger side. They are odd clips and you need to get a door panel remover tool to do it without breaking them. Go to auto zone, they will know what it is. Costs around $10.
Make sure when you realign the hood it goes down EASY and don't JAM it in because otherwise you will have hell getting it open once its jammed shut.
Good luck.

I did find that I could get it loose but I do think the hood has to come off. However after getting in there, I found that all three bolts were missing and that is why my wipers were so noisy and getting stuck. Will have to find some bolts to fit it and washers to put in place. It also had a loose wire in there. Anyone know what it goes too and I guess it grounds to the bottom bolt?

Got the wipers going again and didn't remove hood. Only pulled cowl up out of the way so I am a happy man that at least one issue is done. Now on to the real thing. Changing out the exhaust manifold. Also going to pressure test the radiator and system.

Hmmm, that means I got to clean out the garage so I can pull it in.
