Small torx head screw at same level as door handle on inside of door jamb, remove.
Remove door panel. Cut slit in moisture barrier at handle position.
Unclip linkage that connects handle to door opening mechanism.
Push/slide door handle towards front of car to release tab, pull lock side of handle out. Be careful at non lock side and finesse "hook section" out.
You will see just behind the lock there is a broken pin with a barrel pin perpendicular holding the broken end of the door lock pin. With a narrow punch, gently tap barrel pin out until enough shows to grab with pliers. Remove pin and replace door lock actuator pin.
Get a working remote so you don't break another pin.
If that pin breaks while the door is locked, there is no other key access to enter the car. The driver side door is your only chance.
Remote will cut down in excessive wear and tear on the pin.
You can make a new stronger pin out of a large nail. I forget the exact size, but you will have to grind the nail head to have the same "mace/cross" head to fit into the actuator.

I would love love love to get a new remote, unfortunately don't have the barcode and the original remote is crackedopen, I understand there may have been a code inside, alas there is nothing...
