Default Replacement Stereo

I have an 01 DII and the tape deck stopped working. I am replacing the stock stereo with a new Alpine with Bluetooth. I wired the new one with the appropriate wire harness, I have power to the unit but no sound to the speaker, not even static or a buzz.

What am I missing? do I need to wire the amp in under the seat? If so, How?

How did you wire your speakers at all? If not using the amp under the driver's seat, you must run speaker wire from the head unit to the speakers wires where the amp is.

I purchased the wiring harness that plug into the existing female plugs in the dash. Shouldn't have this tied in the speakers?

There is a blue and white wire coming of the new stereos wire harness that I believe should go to the amp but not sure how to wire it.

I picked up a new receiver and am experiencing the same issue. Thinking about running new wires and bypassing everything

The blue wire is the "remote" wire. Its what sends a signal to the amp to turn "on". You said u bought a harness adaptor? Maybe the aftermarket unit didnt tie in their remote wire to it. Get a long wire and temporarily tie the blue remote wire to the amps remote wire under seat (not sure of the color) and see if it helps
