Replacing caliper boots?

How difficult is it to replace the boots? any special tools?

Where on the caliper are there boots?
Are you talking about the ones that cover the bolts that hold it on?

I assume he is talking about the rubber boots that cover the pistons that push the pads. They are part of the caliper I think.

Thats what I am trying to find out.
If that is the case there is no replacement other than a new caliper.

Yes.. the boot around the caliper.. I found a kit to replace them from rover connection for $35 to replace the front set..

I just found a rebuild kit too, $26.

???? so is it possible? I found the calipers for $56 with a core deposit of $50 each but would rather not have to mess with the system. (bleeding)

Sure there are posts about people rebuilding their calipers. You have to remove the calipers either way though I believe.
